A solution for municipal scale projects
The B1400 is the second largest composter in our Rocket range, and it’s the ideal food waste composting system for community collection schemes, like this one in Paris!
This machine can process up to 2000 litres of organic waste per day, and provides a high throughput with a small carbon footprint. This makes it the perfect choice for municipal food and green waste composting and urban farming ventures

A smaller version of its sister unit – the B2500 – the B1400 is a continual-flow, twin-shaft composting system designed with sustainability in mind.
The equipment’s internal twin agitator shafts, alongside a unique patented w-shaped hull, ensures less compression of materials and airflow through the composting mass. The shafts have no internal support structures, meaning there’s no interior maintenance requirements and no obstructions to the flow of material either.
An integrated PLC control system fully automates the process too – intelligently feeding the composter from an attached bulk feed hopper and controlling the rate of compost output – thus minimising the need for operator interaction.
The machine creates a nutrient-rich compost resource in just 14 days, and is designed to process a range of organic wastes, such as cooked and uncooked meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, alongside garden, green and animal waste (including some types of bedding)
The B1400 can be supplied with multiple options including, bio-filtration, pre-shredder and dewatering unit, as well as an automated bulk feed mixer hopper.
And if you need more than one unit, it can also be grouped with 1-2 other machines that are all fed and controlled by the same programmable logic controller and feed system.
